Our life over the last 4 months...

It has been a while since my last post but I wanted to give an update of what we have been doing lately.  Things have been SO BUSY but incredibly fun.  We are enjoying our new life as a family of 6!!
To sum up the last 4 months...
Kennedy turned 5 months old!
Our little angel is so much fun.  She is always smiling and always curious about what we are doing and what is going on around her.
She reaches and tries to grab everything!
She loves the dogs.  Maggie is her favorite!!  Every time she sees Maggie she starts talking up a storm and smiles.
She is still not sleeping through the night and generally wakes up at least once a night.  Some nights, she won't sleep unless she is with me in my bed and on the really "bad" nights, she has to sleep on my chest.  That has only happened a few times and I'm blaming teething!
She loves sitting in her highchair.  We put toys on the tray and she just plays and plays.
She is wearing a size 6 months in clothes and a size 2 in diapers.
On March 25th, we found her first little tooth poking thru!!
We have started feeding her rice cereal and some veggies and fruit.  Currently she will eat butternut squash, carrots, and bananas.  She is a good little eater.  It took her a while to adjust to the texture of things but she will generally eat whatever we give her.
We celebrated Jory's birthday with a visit from Rachel!
Little Kennedy loved visiting and playing with her Grandma Rachel!
On Jory's birthday, April 1st, we went and had lunch at Calico Cupboard.
Rachel and her friend Natalie.
Giving kisses!!
Later that day we went to my parent's house for Jory's birthday dinner and some cake.
Turning the big 3-2!
We got Kennedy an exersaucer which she absolutely loves!
Future BFF's???  Maybe!  Time will tell.
Cute little chubby baby legs.
We became mobile!!!  Although these next two pictures don't actually show it...Kennedy started rolling over.
Kennedy enjoyed her first few bites of rice cereal.  She did pretty well.  A lot of it ended up on her bib but after about the first week, she got used to that whole swallowing thing.
Kennedy started sitting in her high chair.  She loves watching whatever it is I am doing in the kitchen.  We will put some toys out for her and she will sit for quite a while.  As long as she is in the action, she is good!
Kennedy turned 4 months old!!  I just can't believe how fast the time flies by!
Kennedy really loved her tutu! I have a feeling she is going to be a girlie girl!

Kennedy @ 18 weeks.

Kennedy enjoyed some quality time sitting in her Bumbo chair.  Don't worry...we don't put her in the Bumbo, on the counter, anymore!  But, for a while there, we would let her sit on the counter so that she could watch me do the dishes.  One of her favorite things to do was to take all of the bottles off of the drying rack and spread them around on the counter.

Kennedy is occasionally a thumb sucker.
This is right before she started teething.  She was SO drooly!

Kennedy @ 17 weeks.  She is 13 pounds 12 ounces and is 26" long.  She is in the 97th percentile for height and 80th percentile for weight.

 We celebrated VALENTINES DAY!!!!!
On February 15th, we celebrated Grandpa and Grandma Carter's 60th Wedding Anniversary.  We had a big party for them on February 12th.
 Kennedy with her Papa
 Kennedy with her Auntie Kiki
 Brandon and Jansen
 The lovely couple!
With Auntie Lindsay
Uncle Ron, Cousin Mike and Dad
All the Carter boys.  From the left, Joey, Randy, Ron, Rod, Mike, Uncle Pete, Grandpa Carter, Dad
One night when we were making rice crispy treats, Kennedy decided to read the cereal box!
 She found it very interesting!!!
This is what happens when you have 3 dogs...
Poor bink!!  Now we know not to leave things laying around!
Bailey was the culprit.  She has absolutely no interest in dog toys but for some reason just loves baby toys!  Don't let the innocent look on her face fool you!
I turned 21...I mean 31!!!
It was a great birthday!  On the actual day (January 29th), Jory and I went down south to get Kennedy's pictures taken and ate a lovely birthday dinner at PF Changs.
Then, the next day I had a family party at my Mom's house.  It was a very fun weekend.  Jory got me a glider for Kennedy's room and 2 area rugs for the living area.  Its funny how things change when you get older; I was very excited to get furniture and accessories for the house as my gifts!
Little K @ 3 months.  She is our little string bean!
She is just a little bundle of joy!
She weighs 13 pounds 14 ounces and is 25" long.  She is in the 97th percentile for height and the 80th percentile for weight.
When she gets mad, she stiffens her entire body.  Stiff as a board!
Kennedy attended her first birthday party for Wyatt Morphy (my friend Jill's little boy) on January 14th.
Talks talks talks!!!
Tries really hard to suck her thumb but just can quite get it.
Had her first trip to the doctor's office for a possible ear infection.  She had a 100 degree temperature, but no ear infection.  Whew!
 Snug as a bug
